Word 08 crashes immediately after start

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC

I have tried to clean out all old (and new) preferences. I have search for defect fonts. I have re installed several times. Butt nothing helps. But if i sign in as an other user on my computer Word 08 works stable. i have tried to copy preferences from other user to my log in but it didn't help.

What to try now?

A few possibilities:

When you log in, hold down shift--this prevents login items from
loading. There may be a conflict with one of them in your original user
account. See if Word works with shift-login.
