Word 200 Font problem

I have several doucments that when opened display using
dingbats. I can select the entire document and change the
font and everything dispalys normally but when saved and
opened again it reverts back to dingbats again. This
problem does not affect ALL of my doucments.

Any Ideas? Thank you for your assistance

Hi Sam,

If you have a template with a weird style definition attached to the
documents, and "Tools > Templates and Add-Ins > Automatically update
document styles" is checked (so that the styles definitions including the
Dingbats font are imported from the template each time you open the
document), this would explain the strange behaviour.

If this is the problem, you can either edit the template styles to a
regular font, or uncheck "Automatically update document styles".
