Word 2000 and Adobe Acrobat 6 Std.

B

Bernard Lynch

I have tried several times to load Adobe Acrobat 6 std. on
a machine running Win98 and Word 2000 SR1 (all of which
was formerly working perfectly). Each time I install
Acrobat and start Word up comes the "invalid page fault"
message. I have checked the KB for this error, used their
advice but to no avail. Anyone have any similar
experiences?

In Word go to Tool/Options/File Locations and note the location of
your Word Startup folder. Then exit Word, locate the Adobe add-in
(PDFMaker.dot typically located in the \Office\Startup folder), move
the template to the Word Startup folder and see if this resolves the
error.
