Hello,
I had Word 2000 (latest SP) already 2 times corrupting my index as follows:
- took a good word document as template for my next document to write
- the document had index entries {XE "word"} and the index at the end
- saved it under another name
- edited it (deleted many things in it then wrote new stuff
When I refreshed the index it showed many entries for pages but without
words before and when looked on those pages (mostly the same page number
one over and over again) there was nothing marked for the index!
Where does this come from? I had to start from scratch and copy over the
stuff to get it working again, very time consuming and frustrating. Our
IT dept. said they had also seen this but no solution.
Greetings
Markus
