Word 2000 Changes my Window Animation Setting in Registry

I'm running Word 2000 on Win2k SP3 and I use TweakUI to turn off all window
animations on my system. But when I start Word, and minimize it once, it
changes my settings so that all Windows, that minimize or restore, are
animated. Drives me nuts. Anyone know of a cure for this?
