Word 2000 - Copy and Paste not working

Users at the firm are working in a Word 2000 document. They are trying to
copy/cut and paste within the same document but it is not working. Not error
message is being received, it just does not work. Rebooting the computer
usually fixes the problem but this happening more and more often. Any
suggestions.

Usually this is a third party add-in that is messing up Word. (Frequently,
it is Bluetooth, but I don't suppose they have BT devices on their PCs.)

When this happens, before restarting the computer, try starting Word using
the /a switch. Use Start, Run and type in

winword /a

and press enter. Test to see if copy/paste functions returns. If it doesn't
then it is almost certainly something third party in Windows breaking the
Office Clipboard.
