word 2000 crashes computer for one user only

I'm running windows XP Home w/ SP2 updated through Microsoft to current
standards. Trying to run Word 2000 from Office 2000 SBE updated through
Microsoft to currents standards. Three users are on my home computer. Two
users have successful access to Word and have no problem using the program;
the third user cannot access Word and starting Word for this user either
produces an error message that Word needs to shutdown, or a blue screen error
that restarts the computer. Outlook and Excel are operating properly, but
Outlook can not use Word as the e-mail editor. Notebook and Wordpad operate
normally.

Try renaming the Normal.dot file to Normal.old for the user that
has this problem. Note that you will find three Normal.dot files
(one for each user) on your computer, so be sure you work with
the correct one. See
