Word 2000 Crashes On Windows XP

M

Mike

Help! I loaded my Office 2000 on my Windows XP laptop, and when I try to
use word, the program crashes. I had a trial of Office 2003 on my laptop
and removed it before installing the 2000. I d/l all the updates to both
Windows XP and Office 2000, but to no avail, the word still crashes. Any
help would be appreciated. TIA

Hi Mike,

It sounds like you may have a conflict between versions on your system.
Despite removing Office 2003, there may be residual files and registry
information on the computer.

You can follow the below steps to completely remove and re-install Office
on the system.

If these steps don't resolve the problem for you, please post back with
more information about your experience. If you could, please review the
Application Log on the system for error messages when Word crashes and
include the full text of the errors in your response.

Please let me know if the steps to re-install Office successfully resolve
your issue.

Thanks, and have a great day!

Best,

Dana
