All of a sudden, Word 2000 has started displaying the
hourglass every twenty seconds or so. It appears that the
document is autosaving or accessing the hard drive or
memory for some reason. For instance, when I am typing,
the program will stop responding, the hourglass pops up
for 5-10 seconds and then goes away. My first thought was
a virus but I have my virus protection on and I have
scanned my HD and nothing was infected.
Why would the program(excel does it too)hesitate every
twenty seconds or so like it is checking something or
autosaving. I have looked through the settings and
autosave is set for every ten minutes.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
