I have a similar problem to another message near this.
When I try to open Word 2000 the computer freezes anc cont-
alt-delete bring an error message "The system is
dangerously low in resources! Would you like to terminate
the following application Winword" When I say yes I'm back
to the desktop, but now I can't open any other proble, I
get "There is not enough free memory to run this program.
Quit one or mor proframs, and then try again". I manually
turn off the computer, and when I turn it on again I can
run any program but Word. I reinstalled Word, but this did
not help. Help!

The problem is fixed. This is what I did. I went to the
link you gave me and followed instructions. I could open
word by placing winword.exe /a in Start-run, as indicated
there. Then I went and renamed the folder Normal.dot. I
named it Normal.old. Then went and clicked word in
programs, and I could open it as in the past. Thank you
very much for your help.
