Word 2000 File / Print Dialog Box will not open

Anyone know or have an idea why the print dialog box in Word 2000 will not
open when clicking on file and then print? The dialog box opens fine in
every other program and the toolbar print option for Word works fine too.
But I cannot get the dialog to open when clicking on file then print, without
first clicking cntrl-alt-delete to trick it into thinking it has to close--at
which point it tells me that Word cannot close because the dialog is open and
the dialog then appears.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Word (part of Office 2000) twice to try
and fix it but without success.

Most likely the Print dialog is opening behind your document window. One
frequent cause of this problem is the Norton AntiVirus Office Plug-in, which
you should disable.

Thanks. I will try that when I get home tonight.

One last thing. I figured out last night that I can also get the file print
dialog box to appear if, after opening the Word document, I click out of Word
into a different program and then click back to the Word document. Then the
file print dialog function works fine too. Could it be the same problem, or
is this symptomatic of something else. Thank you so much for your help.
