I'm using Word 2000 on a Win XP machine. Sometimes when I'm in the middle of
editing a Word doc, I will scroll down and find many of the words on the page
have suddenly turned into symbols and become indecipherable, and page and
column breaks will be randomly inserted. If I try converting them back to a
normal font, nothing happens. The files become permanently corrupted (unless
I happen to catch it between saves and can close it before the corruption is
there for good).
I ran Spybot and Symantec and updated MS Office but I'm worried that this is
going to happen all the time and I'm going to lose my work. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks.
