Word 2000 formatting problem

Hi,

I just started using Word 2000, and am having trouble
keeping the page bolded and tabbed and fonted when I save
and close it. When I open it up again, there is no bold,
or tabs or different fonts as originally completed.

Please help.

Make sure that "Files of type" in the Open dialog is not set to "Recover
Text from Any File."
