Word 2000 Freeze's After Installing Office 2007 Outlook w/BCM

I recently upgraded from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007 w/BCM. Although I
purchased Office 2007 Small Business I only want to use the Outlook 2007
w/BCM for the time being. Anyway, I have Office 2000 installed and want to
use that for all other office applications. The problem is that after
installing the Outlook 2007 w/BCM from the Office 2007 CD my Word 2000
freezes. I can launch it from a command "WINWORD.exe /a " and it opens fine
but as soon as I try to open it normally it freezes again. I have already
renamed the normal.dot file without success. I s this an add-in problem. Any
help would be appreciated.

I feel your pain. I upgraded my outlook to 2007 while trying to use the
rest of office 2003. Not only did it screw up my other office programs, MS
Support couldn't even help. I ended up wiping my drive and reinstalling
windows, and office 2003.
