word 2000 freezes

Got my Word 2000 working again for now. I downloaded "ad aware 6", a free
spyware software. After running it I got rid of 65 malware programs. I can
now open my documents again from the Word program. I also took Microsoft
Office shortcut from the start up menu (not the shortcut bar), after I kept
getting 2 Microsoft Office Shortcut bars on my screen.
