Word 2000 gets error message when trying to load.

I just re-installed all my programs on a "new" computer
and now when I try to open the Word 2000 program I get an
error message. I can't get help from Microsoft because
they want the ID number which is in the program that I
can't open. I tried to use the key code for the ID
number...to get help but it doesn't work.
PS. I am using Win98 as the operating system.

Here is the error message that I get:
WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in
module VBE6.DLL at 015f:650d6d0b.
