word 2000 hanging

Sir,

i have a pc with configuration cele2.0/256mbsdram/40gb
hard disk/winxp pro withservicepack 1/office 2000/lotus
client 6.0/trend micro antivirus /845gl chipset

my word files showing not responding error while working
on it for 2-3 hours and coming back to the normal
condition after 5 -10 minutes It is found that my system
is not hanging during this period i can able to open any
other program the same time.my pc is added to a windows
2000 active directory and my pc is using a network printer
which is connected to a windows 98 pc

i tried to reinstall the win xp ,office 2000 etc
but the problem is still there
i disabled all power management options,unused hardware
devices like com ports,audio,modem etc

kindly reply me as soon as possible

Is your computer overheating? If the CPU fan is running slowly or stopped
completely or your heat sink is not making good contact with the CPU, your
CPU will eventually overheat and the thermal cut-out will stop it processing
whilst it cools down to a safe temperature: then it will let you continue
working.

Suresh,
is it also possible that your RAM chip is spoilt or going
to be spoilt? it could also be that you have been working
on very large Word files laden with graphics.
