word 2000 : how to control location of images on a webpage ?

A

A Jozef

I have to make a webpage with lots of clickable images.
I use Word 2000 as html editor - which may not be the best but I'm used to
it and do not have time now to learn other editors.
I try to arrange the images on rows of 3 images.
I arrange them in Word (webpage creation) with 3 tabs and I try to keep each
line or row as short as possible in order to avoid that the 3rd image would
exceed the right margin of the webpage.
I also reduce each image to 5cm by 5 cm again to exceed overflow on the
right.
In Word this looks perfect.
Still I do not succeed in controlling at all the result in Explorer !!
Once I get a nice page with 3 images per row - the next time there will be 2
images on the first row, the next row one image in the center and the next
line maybe one image on the left .....

How can I control this ???????

and how can I understand the logic of Explorer when opening a webpage.

Is there a good help file on the web (preferably in Dutch) which explains
this mystery ??

It is 17.00 in belgium and I should be ready for tomorrow

and for the moment all i am doing is "trial and error" in Word 2000

Can somebodey help ?

Hi A Jozef,

I would recommend that you position the images in a 3-column table. This
will give you much better control over the layout.

G'day "A Jozef" <jozefleon(remove anti spam)@skynet.be>,

the basic problem is the res of your images. If you resize them to <
100% then REALLY you need RESAMPLE them with an art package to the
desired size.
