Word 2000 menus

Hello clever people.

Imagine a scenerio if you will;
2 docs in Word.
1 using normal.dot as its template the other using my
custom template with a bespoke menu.
Does anyone know of a way of hiding my template and menu
from the normal.dot document?

All or any ideas will be seriously considered.

Cheers everyone

Hi Nic

I don't know what you mean, when you say <Does anyone know of a way of hiding my template
and menu from the normal.dot document?>

What's the problem or what are you trying to achieve?

Hi Peter

Sorry maybe not as clear as it could be.
What I mean is I have 2 documents open.
#1 uses normal.dot.
#2 uses bespoke.dot template and a bespoke add-in which
includes a menu and is always running.
If #1 has focus the user can see the bespoke menu and the
user can select items from the bespoke menu.
This causes all sorts of !@£$% because the add-in assumes
the current active document to have the bespoke.dot
template.
I can't choose the correct document due to other unknowns
(such as multiple docs of type #2 being open) so it is
easier to tell the user not to use the bespoke menu with
documents other than with ones using the bespoke template.
Not ideal as you can imagine as your average user isn't
very bright and wants to play thus causing problems.
Hence is it possible to hide the menu when #1 has focus
and unhide when #2 has focus?

Cheers
Nic

Hi nic,

If you want the bespoke menu to be visible only in the document window for a
document based on bespoke.dot, then the menu muist be stored within
bespoke.dot, not within your add-in.
