Word 2000 Multi-page table formatting

When creating a large multi-page table in Word 2000 the
table for some reason splits after the header rows, even
though there is still room for many rows of actual data on
that first page.

I haven't been able to figure out what is causing it or to
get it to stop splitting tables like that.

Anybody have an idea how to fix this?

Make sure that the heading row is formatted as "Keep with next" and the rest
of the rows aren't (it may be necessary to examine every paragraph in a row
to make sure that none have this formatting). For more, see
