Word 2000 Not Recognizing Ind. Excel Worksheet

Tom

In Word2000, when mail merging to data in Excel 2000 -- a
workbook with several worksheets -- Word is not
recognizing the worksheets, just the entire workbook and
therefore is not merging properly. When I move target
worksheet to file/workbook of its own, it works properly.
I used Word/Excel 97 prior and that process worked fine.
Any ideas??

Does anyone have any ideas on this? I, too, need to merge
from a workbook containing several worksheets. Please
help, as I don't want to have to split 40-odd worksheets
out into separate mail-merge sheets!

Thanks,
Jo

Assuming you're using the default method to link in the data
- DDE - no version of Word will pick up any but the first
sheet of a workbook.

Using ODBC, you can get other sheets. Activate the "Select
method" checkbox in the Open Data Source dialog box. Now
choose ODBC.

In the dialog box that follows, if you still don't see the
range name or sheet name you want, click "Options" and
activate all the checkboxes.
