Word 2000 - page numbering problems

We are having a page numbering problem that has driven us up the wall in
Word 97 and now Word 2000.

For example:

Today I created a 9-page document and set up numbering in in the center of
the footer to print "Page x of y" The first printout did fine. 1 of 9, 2 of
9, etc.. However when I made a change to page 5 and reprinted page 5
(current page only) it came out as Page 5 of 5. I then printed the complete
document a second time and it numbered every page correctly except for page
5..it printed Page 5 of 5.

Ideas anyone?

Hi Shanua,

I ran a Google search on "x of y" earlier and it found the link you posted
below. I installed SR1 and it took care of the numbering problem...probably
took care of a lot more I didn't even know about.

Hi Skydog

If you have Word 2000, and you didn't have SR1, then you probably don't have the latest security patches, either.

Go to http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/default.aspx and click Check for Updates.
