Word 2000 Printing Problem

I have Word 2000 installed and use it frequently, printing was no problem
till today.

I opened a Word 2000-Document containing text, tables and a picture in
JPG-Format.

When I select print nothing happened, I opened the printer-spooler-window.
There the document was shown as "printing", but it did not print ! The
printer was online, everything ok with the printer (printer driver
re-installed and tested).

Then I wanted to delete this document from the spooler-window. This could
not be done. This document remained there and stopped all further printing !

What can I do with this document, so that it behaves properly and does not
screw up everything ?
