WORD 2000 SPELLCHECKER IN WELSH WHY CANNOT CHANGE BLANK DOC

My word 2000 blank document comes up with spellchecking in welsh though the
language is set to english uk. I have tried renaming my normal.dot file to no
avail,I have also uninstalled word and re-installed it to no avail, still in
welsh though this dictionary is not recognised.I have also scanned with
norton,spybot and adaware with no problems.
