Word 2000 stops responding upon close or save

Word 2000 quite often stops responding after I save a doc
and try to close it. Any ideas?

I have uninstalled & reinstalled to no avail.

Help would be appreciated. Feel free to email me with
ideas (or commiseration).

Are you using a Windows XP operating system and a Windows 2000 Server?
