Word 2000 table rows breaking for no apparent reason

Some of the rows in my table break in the middle of the page for no obvious
reason. I checked table properties & the "Allow row to break across pages"
is NOT checked. If you look at the outline view, it shows the rows NOT
broken. So I end up with one row on a page, a huge blank space, & the table
continues on the next page.

Any ideas??

Have you checked paragraph formatting to make sure no paragraphs are marked
as keep with next?

Make sure you check every paragraph in every cell in the affected rows. Even
a single paragraph with text flow formatting can make a difference.

Thank you both! I did go back & do that & it was in fact the paragraph
formatting. Once I highlighed all cells in the entire table I was able to
correct the issue.

Thanks for the advice!! We've been dealing with this problem for 3 years
now! LOL

I find it puzzling and frustrating that the black bullet that denotes this
type of setting on ordinary text paragraphs is rarely displayed for text in
tables, making the problem much more difficult to troubleshoot.

I agree! In 3 years it never occurred to me to look under paragraph rather
than table format. I thought I'd looked everywhere & assumed my tables were
just corrupt. Thanks again!
