Word 2000 to 2003

I have a fairly simple text (no fancy formatting), with footnote
though, that won't open in Word 2003. The error message says the fil
might be corrupt. But the file opens with no problem in Word 2000. I
there any way I could get around this problem (such as saving it i
another format in Word 2000)?

Or simply copying and pasting?

Thanks

Try saving as RTF (Rich Text Format) in Word 2000, and see if you can open
the file in Word 2003.

Thank you, Stefan, that worked indeed

I'm glad you got it sorted.

Saving in a different format is *one* way to deal with damaged (corrupt)
documents.
