How can I get rid of the English (US) dictionary in word 2000, I use only
UK English.. I have clicked on the English (US) button at the bottom of word
and set as English ( UK) and pressed default, I can see it has changed to
English (UK) but each time I open up word or open a saved doc it goes back
to English (US) is there a registry tweak or something to make English (UK)
default each time I open word or any saved doc?
Please help..

Word gets the default language from the setting in Control Panel | Regional
Options.

Hi Steve,

You'll find a fairly detailed explanation of how to handle language formatting
in Word in the TIPS section of my website.
