I have a user that is having difficulty with their Word 2000 document.
On one of the pages, there is a footnote that needs to be deleted.
Deleting the superscript number listed in the document doesn't delete
the footnote. Trying to manually delete the footnote still leaves a
link at the location of the superscript number (if you hover the mouse
in that location the footnote displays in a tooltip).
I have found a "kind of" work around. Convert to an end note, then
delete the end note; the only problem with this is that it leaves a
horizontal line at the bottom of the document.
