Word 2000 UpdateLinksatOpen and unlinked fields

I am busy to develop a document, which has DDE links to Goldmine data.
In the AutoNew macro these links are automatically UNLINKED.

After e-mailing via the Routingslip method the (external) receiver
will get a message (after opening of the document) with the question
"Update links? " (UpdateLinksatOpen = True).

I would like to avoid this message without changing the
UpdateLinksatOpen setting on the receiver's end.
Because all fields are unlinked it is NOT needed to display this
message and it will be confusing for the receiver.

Can you include a macro in the document which can tackle this problem
??
