word 2000 used with vista

when recieving e mails on my new operating systen (vista) i can no open word
documents.what download do i need to get word from the office 2000 software
to work with Vista on my new PC as this is the only section not working all
the other applications work ok

If you only need to read Word documents that people send you as attachments,
you only need to download the free Word Viewer. If you need to edit the
documents, then you will need to install a version of Word.

Please note that for security reasons you will need to save the attachments
to your local drive before you can open them though.
