Word 2000 will not work

When I try to open Mircrosoft Word the window opens but
then another window pops up and says 'Microsoft Woord for
Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience. Then it goes on to ask
if you want to send the problem or not. I have sent the
problem and it still will not open. I have also said not
to send the problem. I have also contacted Dell because
Word came on my computer. They took me through
normal.dot, msconfig, and I deleted the program and
reinstalled it and Word still will not work. If you
could please help me with this problem that would be
great!
