I have Word 2000, installed as part of Works Suite 2000
on XP home. It has been working fine for along time. A
couple weeks ago all of a sudden it won't load and run.
It get the follow error/dialog: "Microsoft Word for
Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience."
It offers to send a report to Microsoft. In the report
is the following info:
Error Signature - AppName: winword.exe AppVer:
9.0.0.6926 ModName: winword.exe ModVer: 9.0.0.6926
Offset: 0040ea0c ".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled more than once and
it still doesn't fix it.
