Word 2000 won't open in Windows 98

I've used Word for three years without problems on my Dell
Dimensions L500r with 92 MB ram. Yesterday when I opened
Word it said that there was insufficient memory.
Rebooting did not fix the problem so I reloaded Word from
the original Dell CD-ROM. After re-starting I get
a "Fatal Exception 0E at 016F:Bff9DFFF. Any ideas?
Should I reload the Win98 and the office software?
