Word 2000 Won't Print with 'Drawing Objects'

I have a bit of a strange issue I have never run into before:

We have a small workgroup with 6 computers. All of them are
connected and print to a Canon Color ImageRunner C3200 multi-function
device. For the most part, it works great. Except for one minor
issue on one of the clients. It is a Windows XP Pro SP2 machine, with
Office 2000 installed. Whenever we try to print any document from
Word that contains a "Drawing Object (Text Box, Picture, Graph,
Etc...)" it will not print. It is sent to the printer, I never get an
error on the client. The printer acknowledges that it is receiving a
document, has the correct name and which client it is receiving it
from. It simply never prints it, it says "Waiting to Print." It will
stay there forever, and no other print jobs will be completed. We
have to turn the power off to clear the memory for the job to
dissapear. Cancelling from the Printer does not work either, it hangs
at cancelling.
The only way I can find to get these docs to print, is to
uncheck "Include Drawing Objects" under Options-->Print. The document
then prints, but leaves out these objects. Obviously this is not the
solution my client is looking for. I have tried just about everything
I can think of. I have re-installed the driver. Changed default tray
settings, spool settings, new documents, new profiles, nothing will
fix the issue. Every other client can print these documents without
problem, so I believe it is something from Word, and not the
printer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
JR
