Word 2000 Wordart gallery problem

T

Tim

I have a machine with Office 2000 that will not allow users to preview
Wordart in the gallery. Office was installed using a Marimba package and
other machines have no problems that were installed using the same package.
When users on this machine try it, the gallery is blank except for 1 item.
The items are there and work, just the gallery is blank.

Things I have tried/checked:

Users have admin rights on the machine
Uninstalled Office, rebooted, ran Regclean, reinstalled
Logged on as another admin user
Manually scoured the registry for Office entries and removed them.

Any suggestions?

Hi Tim,

Hi Tim, if you do a print screen with the gallery
on the screen then paste the screen into a Word document
does it show the same blanks?

Check to see if there is a graphics card update
avialable for that machine or try turning down
the graphics acceleration property two clicks then
starting Word.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the suggestions. Turning down the graphics accelerator worked
great. It got the user what they needed but I'll have to check for a video
driver upgrade as well.

Thanks!
Tim
