word 2000

we run a lan with about 20 users. we are experiencing
problems with some users on word 2000 where it creates
temporary files but does not delete them when the
application is closed. also in one instance when closing
the application the user frequently gets the 'this
programme is not responding' window. do we have a flag
set in error somewhere?

any suggestions please?

The fact that it is only 'some users' suggests that this is more likely a
profile problem. I suggest that you temporarily swap one of the affected
users with one of the unaffected users. Let them log into each others WSs
with their own logins and see if the problem travels with them or remains
with the WS.
