When opening a doc. from word, word adds extra text to
the beginning and end of the document. This doesn't
happen when he double clicks a doc directly to open it.
The extra lines look as if their a description of the
document.

The extra text in the beginning of a doc.
example
bjbjUqUq

The extra text at the end of the doc.
example
Normal
Heading 1
Heading 1
Default Paragraph Font...

User is using Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 platform. User
is logged in as a user. This doesn't happen when the
admin is logs in.

Hi Shannon,

In File=>Open check to see if the file type is set to
'Recover Text' rather than 'Word Document.
