Word 2000

Have used word2000 for almost 4 years. Then this year,
word would not open. It would crash when i clicked on the
word shortcut. I deleted word using norton system
utilities and then attempted to reinstall it. On
reinstalling, I got an error message advising
that "microsoft word requires that you complete set up
while logged in as the same user you first ran set up on."

I am the only user of the computer on which i am
attempting to reinstall this on. How can i fix this??

Any help appreciated.
