Word 2000

Every time I try to open Word it hangs at the product ID
window and my computer freezes and I have to reboot. I
have tried to delete the program and reinstall it to no
avail. Please someone help me I need this program very
quickly and Microsoft will not help me and I no longer
live in the country I bought it in and the phone call
would be to expensive. Thank You
