Word 2001 missing "Word Count" under Tools menu

"Word Count" under the Tools menu seems to have suddenly gone missing in
Word 2001. Any help? (I did get rid of some preferences.) I'm trying to
avoid a reinstall because I recently moved and may not be able to find the
CDs for a while . . .

One way:

Tools/Customize. Select Menu Bar and click Reset. If you don't want
to reset the entire menu bar, click the Commands tab, find Word
Count under the Tools category and drag it back to the Tools menu.

Thank you so much. I have no idea why it disappeared, but at least it's
back.
