Word 2001 on OSX font issue

N

Neil Fein

Hello,

I'm running Word 2001 on OSX 10.2 on a Beige G3, and I've got a
strange situation. Word will not change the font of anything on the
page, even though you can select a new font from the font menu.

Changing he font size also doesn't work, although in that case the
font size menu is blank.

This problem has persisted across two system reinstalls (both save and
archive) and one reinstall of Word, with the appropriate MS patchers.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Neil,

Wild guess, but might having "draft font" checked in Preferences | View
(Normal view) cause this? Also, test changing fonts in all the views, and
test whether the printer picks up a change that the screen doesn't show.

If that's not useful, find standard troubleshooting techniques at this link.
These fix most problems. You have to run Remove Office before reinstalling
for it to fix anything, by the way.
