Word 2001 only prints 1 blank page

Regardless of the document. this is an HP laserjet 5p printer. When the
user attempts to print, all that comes out of the printer is a single
blank page. Puzzling!

Hi Jessica,

I'm assuming that you've tested the printer in other word processors
(Appleworks or Simple Text, for instance) and there are no problems?

What OS version? Did the printer ever work with Word 2001? What has
changed since then? Is it a new printer? Have you checked to be sure the
printer driver is up-to-date? Have you rebuilt the desktop recently? Have
you tried re-selecting the printer in Chooser?

Hi Jessica:

The Laserjet 5p -- does it have a PostScript interpreter?

If not, try deleting and reinstalling the driver: Word may be picking up the
wrong driver.

I have also seen this when something about the print setup caused the
printer to error, but the printing of PostScript error messages was disabled
in the printer.
