Word 2002 “Quotation and Apostasy marksâ€.

Just lately my Quotation mark’s with the curls have changed to straights " "
and the Apostasy mark with the curls have also changed to straights ' (sorry
I am unable to type the curley ones).

Go to Tools/AutoCorrect Options and on the AutoFormat as you Type tab make
sure the Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes option is selected.

I am having the same problem on my computer and my wife's computer. I tried
Beth's recommendation, and get straight quotes even if I select smart quotes.
Is this a bug? Is there a workarouond?

You might try changing your Zoom to inspect the text more carefully. In some
fonts (such as Arial and Verdana), curly quotes look like straight quotes at
100% Zoom.
