Word 2002 and Powerpoint 97

I purchased MS Works Suite 2003 (OEM) with my new computer
system which includes Word 2002 but not Excel or
Powerpoint. I use Word and Powerpoint in my job so need
both on my home computer.

My question: Is it possible to custom install just
Powerpoint 97 from my Office 97 Professional CD, or will
it mess up my Word 2002 and/or entire MS Work Suites app.

I'm told I can't just install the 97 Professional version
because it may overwrite some dlls.

If this is the case...could I possibly just then uninstall
only Word 2002 and reinstall my Office 97 Professional.
Will the rest of my Work Suites apps remain workable and
intact?

Yep. it will overwrite some dll-s, but you can repair it using the
Detect&Repair feature
