Word 2002 corrupted view if >50 % zoom

Has anyone experienced a problem viewing Word docs in
2002, created in 2000? Mine all have a broad back band
stretching the entire width of the page if I set the zoom
at 75% or above (clicking in the area gives me a flasing
white cursor). There is no odd formatting in the
documents and the problem disappears if I switch to print
layout or set the zoom to 50% or lower. Any ideas please?

I'd suspect a corrupt graphics driver. Try seeing if there is a new driver
(at the manufacturer's Internet Support site) and then reinstall the
graphics driver.

web layout from print layout

Thanks for the ideas not the colour problem and have reinstalled the graphics
driver. Any other possibilities please?
