Word 2002 crahses -

Word constanlty freezes; unable to write. We have to
close down several times or switch from one application
back to word to "wake it up", but this has to be done
several times throughout one project. Our computer tech
says it is because we have more than one application open
at once, but this will even happen when word is the only
application open on our desktop - does anyone have any
suggestions?
