Word 2002 Crashs/Registry problem?

Word (2002) appears to be working properly until trying to open or close a
file. The program then locks up indefinitely, displaying the working/waiting
symbol. The program has to be terminated via the task manager and the end
program dialog box as it is completely locked up. When running the program
again, it will autorecover the document that I was attempting to save, but
repeats the above problem again when attempting to save the file or open any
other file.

Does Word hang when you try to "save as" to a different folder,
or when you try to open a file in a different folder than the
default folder? If yes, then right-click on the My Computer icon

I never wrote that what you responded to, I wrote this error 1919, error
configuring ODBC data source: Excel Files, ODBC error 13: Could not load the
setup or translator library. ( I have tried everything even registry
modifing) nothin works
HELP!
