Word 2002 FReezes up

Having a problem with machines freezing up in word XP. Machines are all
petium 4's. Some are running XP and some are runing XP for there OS. All of
them have the currents os service pack. All of also have SP for office XP.

Anybody else seen this

I have one lady that is having the same trouble.

She had:
PIIIl 600 with 256
Windows XP - fully patched
Office XP - fully patched

She now has:
PIII 2.6 with 512
Windows XP - fully patched
Office XP - fully patched

This happened with her old computer. I imaged it and then everything was
fine. Later she received a new computer and the same problem has returned.
I can image it again but, I would like to know what is causing the problem
before I do that. She said that it just freezes while she working in Word.
It can happen when she is typing or when she is away.
