Word 2002 has gone bad!

Martin

I have had Word 2002 on my computer as part of Works Suite 2005. Suddenly it
cannot read previously created documents and I get an error message"DATA
ERROR [47 OF 94 93 F4 K5]". Does anyone know what that means? Any helpful
suggestions? Desperate! Martin

Please do not multipost. Your computer is definitely infected
with the Kama Sutra worm (also known as CME-24, Win32.Blackmal.F
[Computer Associates], Email-Worm.Win32.Nyxem.e [F-Secure],
Email-Worm.Win32.Nyxem.e [Kaspersky], W32/MyWife.d@MM [McAfee],
W32/MyWife.d@MM!M24 [McAfee], Win32/Mywife.E@mm [Microsoft],
W32/Small.KI@mm [Norman], Tearec.A [Panda Software], W32/Nyxem-D
[Sophos], WORM_GREW.{A, B} [Trend Micro]). Hopefully you have a
recent backup of the files targeted by the worm.

You would think that after all of the publicity that viruses get these days
that they wouldn't affect anyone. I guess there are still some people who
don't know enough not to open unexpected attachments.

The Kama Sutra worm sends itself in emails with salacious subject
lines such as "Crazy illegal Sex!" or "School girl fantasies gone
bad". If someone receiving such an email eagerly clicks on the
attachment with one hand while thrusting the other hand down
their pants, then that someone deserves to get viruses and sticky
keyboards (ewwwwwww!).

OH MY!!! I can't believe you actually hit the send button after typing that.
(Sure, it's what some of us prurient sorts think but then we hit the X in
the upper right corner instead of the big button marked send in the upper
left corner.)

Thanks for your help. Have since scanned my computer with the on-line
Symantec scanning program and it finds no worms/viruses on my computer.
Question: Should I nevertheless use a Kama Sutra removal tool? Thanks. Martin
